Speaking & Workshops

Structure without rigidity. CreatiVITY without chaos.

At Work Wise Studio, we design formats that help people recognize and share their own wisdom so that the collective wisdom is shaped into meaningful action. Whether it’s a keynote for hundreds or a workshop for a leadership team, Kathy Conley creates experiences that spark insight, strengthen alignment, and move work forward.

With a blend of clarity, energy, and systems thinking, Kathy helps leaders and teams engage in strategy, culture and execution with confidence and leave with tools they can apply right away.

Signature KeynoteS

aligned leadership by design: building enduring capacity across strategy, culture and execution

Change is no longer a discrete event with a start and end date.
It is the environment in which organizations operate.

To move forward with clarity and consistency, leaders need a way to keep strategy, culture, and execution aligned as conditions shift.

The Leader as the Anchor

Alignment begins with the leader.

In the middle of competing priorities and constant demands, leaders make decisions every day that shape what moves forward and what does not.

Kathy Conley focuses on the internal work required to lead with clarity.

She invites leaders to consider:

  • Where am I aligned with our direction, and where am I not?

  • What am I noticing that is not being said?

  • Am I choosing comfort over candor?

These questions come up in real decisions, every day.

When leaders take them seriously, they create the conditions for alignment across the organization.

The WORK WISE STUDIO ALIGN Method

Kathy introduces the ALIGN Method, a structured way to bring strategy, culture, and execution into alignment:

  • Absorb: Surface what is actually happening across the organization

  • Legitimize: Reflect on what has been gathered and establish clear priorities

  • Integrate: Connect priorities to roles, goals, and day-to-day work

  • Grow: Build the ability to adapt and improve

  • Nurture: Reinforce what is working and sustain progress

Participants will leave with:

  • A clear understanding of how to work through decisions that require alignment

  • A practical way to engage the right stakeholders at the right time

  • A shared approach for carrying decisions into execution

  • A method to align strategy, culture, and execution in practice

Take Yourself Seriously: Elevating Human Wisdom at WorK

Right now, in our lives, in our jobs, and in our society, there is a lot that is changing. Some of it is exciting, and some of it is unsettling.

People are asked to make sense of what is happening, often without a clear path forward.

And even in that uncertainty, people notice more than they say.

They have a sense of what they see, what they think, and what could be done differently.
And just as often, they choose not to say it.

They hold back an idea.
They don’t follow up.
They discount what they are seeing, or assume it is not theirs to raise.

Over time, those moments add up.

In this keynote, Kathy Conley explores a simple but powerful shift:

Take yourself seriously.

Give weight to:

  • what you notice

  • what draws you in

  • your instincts, values, and curiosity

This is not about having everything figured out.
It is about how you show up, right now.

As you move through your day, in conversations with coworkers, customers, family, and friends, what you see and think matters.

When people take themselves seriously, they begin to contribute more fully, in their work and in their lives.

Participants will leave with:

  • A clear way to recognize what they notice and where it matters

  • Greater confidence in contributing what they see, think, and know

  • A practical way to move from holding back to participating

  • One step they are ready to take toward something that matters to them

Extended Formats

This keynote can be expanded through short exercises, a workshop, or a retreat, creating space for deeper reflection and practical application.

Essential Studies

These signature offerings offer high-impact experiences to connect leadership and teams with the practices and strengths needed to thrive. Each program is designed to provide participants with practical tools, shared language, and renewed energy for action.

The WORK WISE Studio ALIGN Method

The leadership alignment study

The Leadership Alignment Study is a three-hour working session designed for leadership teams who are seeking a clear, shared view of how they align around strategy, culture, and execution.

Leaders complete a brief assessment in advance of the session. During the session, we review the findings, highlight what is working well, surface key tensions, and prioritize attention on the issues most affecting effectiveness right now.

By the end of the session, the leadership team will have a clear sketch of how they align around strategy, culture, and execution, and a shared understanding of what deserves attention next.

Post session, we provide a written summary and meet to explore next steps.

The Work Wise Studio ALIGN method to align Leaders and Engage Staff in Strategy, Culture and Execution

This interactive workshop introduces the five practices of the ALIGN Method, a framework to align leadership and engage staff in strategy, culture and execution.

This workshop is designed for directors and senior managers who are responsible for carrying leadership priorities into day-to-day work.

Following the Leadership Alignment Study, senior leaders identify one or two priorities that require focused attention. Applying the ALIGN Method introduces a shared way of working through those priorities, so expectations are clear before the work moves forward.

Participants are introduced to the five practices of ALIGN and work through the method using a real, contained issue relevant to their team or department. The focus is on understanding how the method works in practice, what is required at each stage, and how teams will be engaged along the way.

Absorb: surface insights and root causes
